Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Cochin-munnar

Arrive in Cochin and set off on your scenic drive to Munnar, a stunning hill station that once served as the summer retreat for the British Government in India. Munnar’s endless tea plantations and its consistently mild climate make it an idyllic escape for travelers.

Day 2: Munnar

After breakfast, embark on a journey to Echo Point and Mattupetty Dam. Mattupetty Dam offers thrilling speed boating experiences and is surrounded by lush forests, expansive grasslands, and the picturesque Kundala Tea Plantation. In the afternoon, visit Rajamala, known for being the habitat of the critically endangered Nilgiri Thars (Note: Rajamala is closed from February 1st to March 31st, 2021). This unique location provides a rare opportunity to observe these elusive mountain goats in their natural environment.

Day 3: Thekkady

In the morning, depart for Thekkady, arriving by noon. Once in Thekkady, head to Periyar Lake, which is the centerpiece of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Experience the unique opportunity to view wildlife from the safety of a boat (boating costs extra). This sanctuary offers one of the few chances in India to see animals up close while on water. Additionally, enjoy a plantation tour where you’ll discover a variety of spices and crops, including tea, coffee, cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon.

Day 4: Alleppey

After breakfast, drive to Alleppey and check into your houseboat by noon. Set sail on a mesmerizing cruise through Kerala’s famous backwaters.
